About Us

The keystone of PCPG is its dynamic, dedicated professionals with years of combined experience in architectural history, historic preservation and archaeology. The majority of the firm’s professional experience is in cultural resource management, conducting archaeological and architectural surveys and seeing clients through the regulatory compliance associated with federally funded or licensed projects (Section 106). Through this work, consultants at PCPG have been exposed to a wide variety of resources, ranging from simple and complex archaeological sites, individual buildings, structures, and objects, to large and complex districts comprised of numerous related properties, including rural and agricultural properties, single and multiple residential buildings, and rural, village and urban civic, commercial, and industrial buildings. PCPG consultants also have experience assessing the physical composition and condition of historic buildings and structures, and making treatment recommendations to federal agencies, local organizations, and private property owners for their preservation. Similarly, PCPG has assisted local organizations and private property owners in planning and managing building rehabilitation projects, and documenting properties prior to changes or demolition. Preservationists at PCPG are involved in many related community activities, including local Historic and Architectural Review Boards, Main Street organizations, and local Museums, which broaden their understanding beyond the scope of regulatory compliance.

PCPG has been working with a variety of private and public clients for more than ten years, resulting in the successful completion of a wide array of projects. These clients include:
